Automattic is a Most Loved Company and Disability Confident Committed. (Here’s what that might mean for you.) Come work with us.

We proudly dedicate 5% of our time to the open source WordPress Project.

In 2014, Automattic CEO and WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg committed to dedicating 5% of our company time to WordPress core, and invited other businesses and individuals to join us. Matt’s call to action invited organizations that want to “grow the WordPress pie (and not just their piece of it)” to dedicate 5% of their resources to WordPress core.

Born and raised on California’s South Coast. My wife is named Reva and we have five children. When I’m not working, I take the kids to parks, go for hikes and jogs, swim, read, watch the LA Dodgers play on TV, work on home projects, and stay active with my church. What’s on my bucket list? Spanish fluency, hiking the 211-mile John Muir Trail, visiting all 59 national parks, attending a World Series game, learning how to ballroom dance, and not least, helping my kids reach their full potential.

I’ve been involved with web development since graduating college in 2004, catching the WordPress bug around 2007. I’ve always enjoyed working with it, the community behind it, and teaching others how great it can be. When I’m done staring at a computer screen for the day, you can usually find me doing something active outside, preferably by a body of water. Icebreaker keywords include: soccer, CrossFit, whiskey, tacos, and beach. I’m married to an Amanda, have two little boys under the age of 7, and a pretty awesome dog named Cocoa.
